WE ARE STREET HOCKEY

The Mascot stares down the fans.

Born from the ashes of the long running and well-loved Comox Cup, street hockey rises again in the Village of Cumberland.  Three days of competitive and intense ball hockey will decide the fate of the Cumberland Cup in 2025 from Friday evening June 13th to Championship Sunday June 15th

The Cumberland Cup is a street hockey tournament that has been held annually in the beautiful village of Cumberland since 2022.  The Cup has evolved from its humble beginnings into a 12 team, two division four on four street hockey tournament attracting teams from all corners of Vancouver Island and beyond.

The tennis courts in Village Park are transformed into the cage like Waverley rink, the games have professional referees and timekeepers to keep things running fair and smooth, the tournament mascot, Ballsy, is running wild, it must be the Cumberland Cup Weekend.

Playoffs and feature games now have sound effects, goal horns, walk on music and more.  Come out and enjoy the show, cheer on the local teams, always free, all weekend long June 13th to 15th.

Now that’s Ballsy.

Beer Garden

The beer garden features the best in Lucky Beer, Premium Ciders and Vodka Mixers, as well as being the main viewing area and official merchandise store.

Competitive

Professional timekeepers and referees keep the games fair and documented. The finals feature an audio specialist to give the players and fans an authentic tournament experience.

The Waverley Rink

The Waverley Rink appears like a cage, adding an intense edge to the game. By converting two tennis courts into a popup ball hockey arena, this temporary venue brings outdoor street hockey back to the Comox Valley!
